The fight for the House Republican Majority in 2026 has already begun. In many ways, it is a proxy fight for the direction of our country.

Across America, a small number of congressional races will determine whether Republicans retain control of the House of Representatives or whether Washington moves further toward the Zohran Mamdani style of socialism and back toward the open borders, reckless spending, weakness overseas, and dysfunction voters rejected in 2024. Many of these races will be decided by just a few percentage points, yet the outcome will shape America’s approach to border security, economic policy, military strength, energy independence, public safety, and our nation’s standing in the world.

Recognizing what is at stake, Congressman Nick LaLota has launched a focused initiative to support nine of the most competitive Republican congressional campaigns in the nation: seven incumbent Republicans and two Republican challengers whose races are expected to be among the closest in America. If Republicans win seven or eight of these nine races, the House Majority is likely preserved. If Republicans fall short, Hakeem Jeffries becomes Speaker and Washington risks looking far more like Albany or Sacramento.

Nick’s effort is rooted in a simple understanding: campaigns that organize early, communicate early, and demonstrate financial and political strength early are far better positioned to withstand the enormous wave of Democrat spending that inevitably comes later in the cycle. In modern congressional politics, momentum matters, preparation matters, and timing matters.

Anyone who has ever watched sports understands the agony of losing a game by a single point, run, or goal and wondering afterward what more could have been done. Elections are no different. Those of us who support a commonsense conservative agenda do not want to wake up the morning after Election Day having lost critical races by razor-thin margins while knowing more could have been done earlier to secure victory. In districts this competitive, small advantages today can become decisive victories tomorrow.

As an Annapolis Graduate, Navy Veteran, proud Long Islander, and Member of Congress who has won three races despite being outspent 6 to 1, 2 to 1, and 3 to 1, Congressman LaLota believes Republicans cannot afford to be passive observers in these battleground races. This initiative reflects his commitment not only to defending his own seat, but also to helping preserve a governing majority capable of strengthening the country, protecting the American Dream, and ensuring future generations inherit an America that remains strong, prosperous, and free.
